Accept Nonprofit Funding for Skate Park Renovation - YES

The Scotty Lapp Foundation is a nonprofit that makes snowboarding, skiing, and skating more accessible to underprivileged youth, in honor of the late young local athlete Scotty Lapp. When the leaders of this organization approached the Town with funding and designs for a proposed renovation to the Corte Madera skate park, we seized the opportunity to improve one of our most popular public amenities while saving taxpayer dollars. I’m proud to support the efforts of this foundation and look forward to a new and improved skate park that anyone in our community can enjoy!
