Create Parks & Rec Memorial Program - YES

At our January 21 meeting, I voted to establish a new Parks Donation and Memorial Program — a way for residents to donate a bench, flower basket, or even adopt a landscaped median in honor of a loved one, a friend, or a community group.

This program came directly from resident requests. Until now, we’ve handled these donations on a case-by-case basis, with no formal guidelines or consistent pricing. This new program ensures clear standards, fair costs, and a smooth process for donors.

It’s also a meaninful way to enhance our public spaces — adding benches, flowers, and amenities — without burdening taxpayers. Private donations will help keep Corte Madera beautiful for years to come.
