At last! In March 2020, Corte Madera declared a state of emergency due to COVID-19. Tonight, we passed an ordinance officially ending the local declaration of emergency. While the state and county had lifted theirs earlier, keeping ours open allowed the Town to receive all state and federal assistance we're entitled to, and adjust to a new environment. We’re hopeful that the termination of the state of emergency will provide comfort to people, signaling that we are gradually returning to our pre-pandemic "normal."
