Increase Parks & Rec Hours to Support Child Care and Distance Learning - YES

The challenges of the pandemic have hit all parts of our community hard, but few more so than working families with school-age children. With schools and day cares closed due to COVID, working parents have been pushed to the absolute limit trying to manage their childrens' education from home and provide them with opportunities to play and grow, all on top of their day jobs.

Luckily, the Town of Corte Madera is here to help. I voted yes to expanding the hours of our Parks & Recreation staff, allowing them to provide fantastic distance learning and child care services to residents at an incredible low price, with fee waivers available for residents who are having trouble making ends meet. This program will be a lifesaver for many working parents, and I am thrilled we are offering it!
