SOMA Aquatics’ Summer Community Swim Program serves as a way of providing swimming pool access to Town residents. We believe that SOMA Aquatics’ mission of emphasizing access for lower-income and underserved peoples aligns with the Town’s goals to provide equitable access to Town programs and amenities. We expect to incorporate swimming into Camp Corte Madera programming one day a week and offer free swim lessons to all those families receiving camp scholarships. In addition to the programming offered to the community Monday through Thursday, the 2024 program would include an additional eight Sundays for open and recreational swim from 11 am to 3 pm. This additional offering is intended to attract greater utilization of the pool during the summer from Corte Madera families who may not be able to attend during the week.
