Reorganize Planning & Building Department into Community Development Department - YES

Corte Madera's vibrant local economy is a boon to our residents and businesses, and generates much of the tax revenue we rely on to fund the Town's public programs and services, from roadwork to day care.

But that strong local economy didn't come out of nowhere. Instead, it was the result of years of careful planning and close coordination with local businesses, a task that we've always seen as critical to the Town's success.

Now, by re-organizing the Planning & Building Department into the Community Development Department, we are not only modernizing and streamlining the department's actions, but making sure that economic development becomes a formalized part of that department's indispensable role.
